I feel more comfortable expressing those emotions, and believe that open expression of emotion is a condition of love. Reading through this book I could feel parts of me that were angry or anxious melt away. A must read book! As for the information about dialoging with a partner; most of that I will tuck away for future reference.

However, it makes a lot of sense why he talks about that, as relationships involve two people with different psychiatric make-ups and needs.
The conversation dialogue starters and recommendations that he has in the back of the book are helpful, and although his writing is deep and valuable, it wasn't too difficult of a read.
