About This Game Set 50 years after the climactic events of the original Red Faction, Red Faction: Guerrilla allows players to take the role of an insurgent fighter with the newly re-established Red Faction movement as they battle for liberation from the oppressive Earth Defense Force. Red Faction: Guerrilla re-defines the limits of destruction-based game-play with a huge open-world, fast-paced guerrilla-style combat, and true physics-based destruction.
Utilize guerrilla tactics, improvised weaponry, and modified vehicles to lead insurgent attacks on EDF targets. Launch attacks based on your own gameplay style, take on missions in any order you choose, or engage in destructive activities to weaken the EDF's grip on Mars. Leverage fully-dynamic physics-based destruction to improvise on the fly: blow holes in a wall or floor to set an ambush or escape, take out a staircase to stop your pursuers, or drive vehicles through blown out walls.

Red Faction: Guerrilla might appear to be not much more than an impressive physics engine plastered around a hollow game, but redeeming factors come at you thick and fast. The smaller, optional missions dotted about the game world are often incredibly inventive, in particular the ones which ask you to destroy a certain structure within a time limit, given limited ammunition. Some of these are puzzles in themselves, giving you, for example, one explosive barrel and two pistol rounds and tasking you with demolishing an entire tower.
The trick, if you're interested, is to chuck the barrel skywards and shoot it in the air, taking out the tower's weaker mid-section. Clever stuff. Elsewhere, the multiplayer segment plays to the game's destructive strengths. In typical team deathmatches, classes are defined by wearable backpacks you pick up on the map, giving you specific abilities - such as the one that allows you to sprint through buildings, Juggernaut style. Various other game modes see teams attempting to prevent opponents from destroying key buildings, or capture the flag in drastically changing, destructible maps.
Removed from the Al and vehicle issues of the single-player game, and focusing on exactly what makes the game interesting, Red Faction: Guerrilla's multiplayer facet is perhaps the most enjoyable and unique online experiences we've had in months.
Back in single-player town, while Red Faction: Guerrilla regularly frustrates you'll find yourself inexorably drawn back to it Wrecking things is not only satisfying, but addictive too, and the erosion of EDF control through the destruction of their property provides an ample sense of progress throughout the game, allowing'you some freedom from the rigidity of the plot's missions. The best moments you'll have in Red Faction: Guerrilla are those the developers haven't engineered for you, and the physics engine, even after hours of play, never ceases to impress.
While the underlying game is lacking in some regards - in particular, I haven't come across any Total Recall references - the joy of breaking things apart with giant hammers really is enough to prop up any amount of dull shooting. A lack of triplebreasted ladies be damned. If You Know one thing about Red Faction, it's that it allowed you to dig huge holes in the deformable terrain and jump in them, condemning yourself to a subterranean existence for as long as it took to find the reset button.
Red Faction Now, instead of deformable terrain, the guys at Volition are pioneering things with destructable everything except terrain. I'd only vaguely heard the rest of the Red Faction: Guerilla presentation -everything after the bit where the man from Volition said you can hit things with a massive hammer was a wordy blur.
There was something about Mars, another bit where he said "open-world" a lot, and one part where he shot some blue lightning at a helicopter and everybody laughed. When the moment came to actually play the game, I dutifully grabbed a sledgehammer and headed for the nearest building. It could have been an enemy torture shack, it could've been a puppy orphanage, I honestly didn't care, and set to work dismantling the place.

I downloaded the game and i tried to install it but it crashed and i solved that problem. I already made a offline gfw live acc. All the users that have problem with the save, it may be the one of the 2 option: 1. Create an offline Live user in the menu on the game press on "Home" in the keyboard, then create offline user. Has any one heard of this before? To those of you folks who cannot create an off line account there is a simple solution that I've been usin since I install Cane and Lynch It installs a very old Xlive redist that allows to create sucessfully an Xlive account. After doing so, you'll be able to update to the latest Xlive version.
Cant get the game to load, feels like the crack is a virus or something. It just appears in the taskbar list, bounces around the program names but never loads… strange.
